3/4 cup finely chopped fresh pineapple
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 lime, peeled and juiced
1 tbsp minced red jalapeño pepper
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1 package (13 oz) BUTTERBALL® Natural Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage, cut on the bias into 4 pieces
4 split-top hotdog buns
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375ºF), or heat grill pan over medium-high heat. Spray grill grid with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine pineapple, cilantro, lime peel and juice, jalapeño pepper, ginger, sugar and salt in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Add sausages and buns to grill; cook, turning occasionally, about 5 minutes or until buns are toasted, and food thermometer inserted into sausage registers 145ºF, 6 to 8 minutes.
Serve sausages in buns with pineapple relish.
