Natalie Gibbs—Army spouse—Fort Leavenworth, KS—“Essentials I always make sure we have on hand during a PCS are our own pillows, blankets, and bed sheets. I create a gadget box to include a cutting board, kitchen pan, water filter pitcher, plastic or reusable cutlery, basic seasoning, protein bars and high calorie snack food, tea and coffee, a portable charging bank, kids’ books, shower curtain with liner. And something that’s a must have - large trash bags.”

Samantha Mans—Army spouse—Fort Leavenworth, KS—“My must haves during a PCS for the kids are their yoto players, hatch sound machines, a stuffy, and their blankets. For Millie, the dog, her dog bed toy and food are a must! There’s the ever-essential coffee filters, coffee, and my pour over. Plus, AJ’s running shoes and lifting shoes and golf clubs. And of course, I have to have my computer, gratitude journal, and a book. And not to forget a screwdriver, hammer, and scissors, because we are never able to find them when we need them.”

Kayla Jenkins—Army spouse—Fort Leavenworth, KS—“I always have a moving folder. I get a new toy for my children and it becomes their moving friend. We try to find the fun in all the things because moving is going to be hard for everyone involved. My spouse and I have a date night because we are so caught up in taking care of everything and everyone else. The Adobe Scan APP is a must have! It keeps the digital copy, so I always have it on hand. We do a lot of audio books, too. And finally, have a couple of phone buddy’s you can talk to during this time.”
